ATTENDING RACING EVENTS AND FORMAT
Each round of the Australian Hard Enduro Championship is held over two days. This means two days of racing forms one round. Points are awarded for both days, with the accumulated points deciding the final positions for the round.
Competitors can usually arrive at the property from midday Friday to set up camp, sign on, and rest before the following day’s race.
The final race format is released with the final instructions. Track length varies depending on the difficulty.
The majority of our events are laps. Currently, the Hillstorm Challenge is our only point-to-point race.
The length of the lap can vary from 15 km to 45 km.
Camping is usually permitted on the properties, from Friday midday to Monday morning at 10 am. Catering is often on-site for each event, and toilets are provided at each event.
First aid attends each event. We have satellite phones and Starlink to allow for uncompromised communication.
We have a strict lights-out and no-noise policy after 9:30 pm. We have hundreds of competitors travel from each state of Australia and spend tens of thousands of dollars travelling, training, and preparing for each race. We take their rest and wellbeing seriously. Please respect this, or you will be removed from the property and blacklisted.
All specific race event information, such as precise location, catering, times, etc., will be contained in the final instructions, which each competitor receives via email.
JUNIOR COMPETITOR INFORMATION
All juniors racing in the Australian Hard Enduro Championship must be aged between 13 and 16 years and are restricted to 100cc–300cc two-stroke and 200cc–250cc four-stroke.
Juniors aged over 13 and up to 16 may compete on a 300cc two-stroke capacity, based on individual endorsement.
ALL COMPETITOR INFORMATION
For a championship to be awarded in a class, there must be a valid field in at least 75% of the rounds in that class. A minimum of eight competitors is required for each class, except the women’s class, which must have a minimum of five competitors who have participated in practice, qualifying, and racing. Otherwise, the total of all the rounds will not constitute a championship.
All gold competitor registrations are vetted by the promoter, club, or committee. A strong, verifiable racing history is required.
AHEC classes are: gold, silver, bronze, women’s, and juniors.
Specific age classes for seniors: 16–34, 35–49, and 50 and over.
Women’s class competitors racing in the Australian Hard Enduro Championship (AHEC) must register either a bronze, silver, or gold race number that corresponds with the class/track they wish to compete in. Women’s class race numbers for the AHEC must have a purple background with white numbers, irrespective of their class.
The women’s class operates on the hierarchy system for the 2026 national rounds (a minimum of one lap must be completed).
Hierarchy system explained: women can choose to ride in any class (gold, silver, bronze). Results are determined using a hierarchy: gold > silver > bronze. Within each class, laps still determine placing. However, a rider in a higher class automatically places above anyone in a lower class.
Example: one lap in gold beats five laps in silver and 20 laps in bronze.
Note: female competitors can choose to compete in bronze, silver, gold, or the women’s class (only the women’s class operates with the hierarchy system).
AHEC junior competitors are reminded they are entering a national round of hard enduro; our tracks are not suited to inexperienced or novice riders.
Australian Motorcycling Competition Association affiliated events require AMCA licences.
Single event licence holders are not awarded points or positions in the combined overalls, or included in the championship results.
Annual race competition licence holders are awarded points and positions.
All competitors will receive the final instructions via the Member Jungle app.
If you have registered a race number with us, this does not include a sticker kit. You must source your own stickers; we recommend Omega Moto Graphics.
For the national championship, all single licence holders will receive temporary stickers at sign-on.
